E-HEROES

Designed and developed inhouse using Unreal Engine.

A collaborative 2 Player Multiplayer VR-Experience. When a space station is about to run out of power, the life of the everyone on board is at risk. Both players have to solve three puzzles in 120 sec by communicating and thinking logically while the atmosphere on the space station gets more and more tense. Player One (P1) is immersed in VR while player two (P2) sees an abstraction of the machine on a second monitor and has to help P1 to solve the problems.

The game was highly successful in converting players in applicants for the Zürcher Craft Association of Electricians. It received gold at the German Digital Award 2018.

NIKE FREE

As a tribute to the Nike Free collection, the “Genealogy of Nike Free” zoetrope rotates seven shoes in interactive loops, creating a cutting-edge 3D online WebGL experience. The Nike Free zoetrope also transforms to a sequencer and lets the user create new beats.

MODERAT

A rebellious teenager slaves away in a dystopian world, harvesting crystals from a vast grey landscape. This sparkling bounty is given as an offering to a tribal deity, who resides in a shrine guarded by sentinels with green glowing masks, where he is constantly under attack from an army of drones.

Pfadfinderei, Moderat’s long-time creative partner for visual works, came up with the innovative idea of using gaming aesthetic and its production tools and invited SEHSUCHT Berlin to realize the full scope of this ambitious project.

Mate Steinforth and the SEHSUCHT Berlin team developed the imaginative, politically charged narrative.

As the first automotive brand worldwide, BMW is using Google Spotlight Stories technology for an innovative, 360° way of storytelling.

Interactivity is provided through sensors included in the smartphone (gyroscope, touch, etc.).

“Visionary” was jointly created by BMW, digital agency Jung von Matt and Google’s creative team ZOO. We designed and created all objects and environment, ensuring the balance between complexity and fluently. Uwe started off as a music video director in the early 2000´s which led him to work with artists like Depeche Mode, Rammstein, A-HA and many more.

He then moved into Digital and created Nighty Night! together with designer Heidi Wittlinger, Egmont Mayer and Grit Schuster – it got one of the worlds most succesfull kids apps.

His track record also covers the direction of commercials, 360º VR Content, mobile games (Heavy Metal Tennis Training), Startups (knicket) and apps for worldwide leading film hardware company ARRI.

STEINFORTH

CEO / Creative Director

Mate Steinforth studied graphic design at University of Applied Arts Hildesheim and the University of Madrid, Facultad de Bellas Artes. In 2002 he moved to Madrid to work as an Art Director in the graphic studio Juan Dela Mata.

From 2005 to 2009, he worked at PSYOP as a Designer and Director.

Starting December 2009, he moved back to Germany to head up the Berlin branch of the motion design and animation Label SEHSUCHT since.

HEAD OF PRODUCTION

Starting out as a 3D artist himself Timo has always had great compassion towards the artist teams he worked with.

Timo has an extensive track record of producing not only commercials, live media event content, but also high end VFX for feature film.

He has worked for companies like Pixomondo, Storz & Escherich, Chimney Images and many more.

For the past 2 years he produced ambitious 360° full CG as well as interactive VR and AR projects. He joined Sehsucht Berlin in summer 2017.

Christian Zschunke is a Berlin based designer working with technology to make the world a little more colourful.

His primary interest is understanding things, places and people. On his journey for knowledge he is always keen on experimenting with new technologies and finding out how to make them do things.
